Today I felt compelled to write a post that I really need to read right now. My anxiety isn’t great at the moment and I just needed a reminder of how to get through it. I know that anxiety is something most people will experience at some point in their life, no matter how long or brief it is. And that’s okay!! We’re only human, and we’re not at all immune to feelings and emotions. Knowing the ways to deal with anxiety however is another matter. We can always learn, always grow. So, today I wanted to share the three things I do as ways to deal with anxiety.
3 Ways To Deal With Anxiety
Create A Playlist
This is a must for me when it comes to dealing with anxiety. It can be used anywhere. If you’re walking the streets, put your headphones in. If you’re at work, take a few minutes in the bathroom or another secluded place. So you can really do this anywhere. I cannot tell you how many times music has helped me through tough times with my anxiety, and with life in general.
A large number of people I’ve met tend to associate essential oils with being a bit of a hippie. Far from it, people in corporate office could do with a dose of frankincense every now and then. Essential oils have become a crucial part of how I cope with lifes stresses. I get mine from a local health food shop, but you can buy them online too. My favourite at the moment is the frankincense by id Aromatics
Breathe It Out
I’m not an expert on this but I do find relaxation breathing so so helpful when my anxiety flares up. If I’m super stressed, in pain, or poorly I will always try to breathe it out. I’m actually going to refer you to a post on The Everygirl that has really helped me about stress relieving breathing techniques. Hopefully that will help you on how to practice this method of relaxation. The techniques they talk about are great ways to deal with anxiety, so I highly recommend them.
