I’m struggling to come to terms with the fact that it’s already the end of August. I feel like I have hardly achieved anything in the last 8 months and I’m wondering where on earth the time has gone! In an effort to make my life a little bit more productive and to hopefully achieve something in the coming months I thought it might be helpful if I wrote down some of my goals for the rest of 2017. That way, I might actually stick to some of them!
Learn something new
I’m extremely tired of the rut I seem to have gotten myself in lately. It’s definitely one of my goals to try doing new things, new hobbies, new places. I never get tired of learning new things, and I think that picking up a new hobby to learn would be really productive.
Get better with finances
Finances have always been a bit confusing to me. In the last year though my finances have taken a real knock, and it’s something that I really struggle with now there’s a lack of income. So budgeting has become a big part of my life. As I get older I think I’m realising the importance of being financially clued-up and I want to keep learning about how to manage my finances. It’s a skill I’ll always need, so why not learn now?
Push my comfort zones
This is one I have definitely been working on recently. But I want to continue to push my comfort zones, in both my personal life and my social life. I think I’m far to comfortable not being social, and keeping to myself. It’s something that I really want to grow out of. Pushing my boundaries and doing things that at first might make me a little uncomfortable is something I really want to run with for the rest of the year.
Be more sociable
I am a big people person, once I’m in the zone. But something not a lot of people know about me is that social situations kind of terrify me. The prolonged getting ready process so I feel presentable doesn’t always help. But I would love put myself out there a bit more and be more sociable.
So there it is. 4 of my main goals for the remainder of 2017. Hopefully the latter half of this year will be more productive than the first!
