I am absolutely buzzing to talk about this purchase! Back in January of this year Sephora debuted this little beauty after having a rather successful ‘Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip’ they decided to release a nude edition. Nude lip lovers unite!
I have always had a fondness for a nude lip, it is my everyday go-to lip look, and can you blame me? There are obviously certain nude looks that don’t suit me, or more specifically, my complexion. I find that when I’m shopping for beauty products I tend to go for sets, or palettes, because that way I (usually) end up saving more money. This gem was priced at $28 (working out at around £21) with two full sized products. Can you say ‘bargain‘. Packaging is obviously a huge selling point. The peach/blush coloured lip shaped box is perfect enough to plant a kiss on.
Give Me Some Nude Lip contains;
– 0.01 oz Marc Jacobs Beauty Mini Poutliner Longwear Lip Pencil in Prim(Rose)
– 0.12 oz NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick in Dolce Vita
– 0.07 oz Laura Mercier Milky Way Crème Smooth Lipstick in Miky Way
– 0.088 oz NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Crayon in Whisper
– 0.10 oz Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste Nude
Now back to pricing, because I’m not ready to let this go yet. I am absolutely amazed at how cheap this was for what you were getting. For example, if you were buying each individual item (full sized) from Sephora you would be spending $124/£93. The overall worth of this lip kit is $86, worked out by the ounces of product. If you managed to pick up this beauty before it sold out, I hope you realize what a steal you got it for!
I would have to say that this along with the Tarte lip paint, is my most used product. I am so in love with everything about this lipstick pencil, the colour, the texture, everything. This is definitely one I will be re-purchasing when it’s all gone.
There is only one way to describe this lip paint… the heart emoji. I LOVE this product. In general I love Tarte and all of their products but this one takes the cake. I adore it and advise everyone to go out and get it. Also one I will be re-purchasing when I’ve used it up (which will be any day now).
A Nars cult product and I can see why. A beautiful formula, and a beautiful colour. I should probably wear it more than I do. The only thing I would have as a complaint about this one is how sheer it is, but I suppose that’s part of the appeal. I probably wont need to re-purchase as this is a full sized product. Yay!
Now… I have mixed feelings towards this one. On one hand I like that it gives me the opportunity to try a shade that I wouldn’t ever wear, but then on the other hand I’m not sure I should wear it. I personally think it makes me look quite washed out. The lipstick itself is beautiful and feels so smooth and luxurious, but this isn’t a shade I will be adding to my regular lip line up.
another one of my loves from this lip kit. This is an absolute beauty, and I can’t say I would expect any less from Marc Jacobs. If I feel really fancy I will line my lips with this little pencil of perfection, fill in my lips with the Nudestix lipstick pencil, and then top it off with the Tarte lip paint. The trio is my idea of heaven.
So there you have it, one of my all time favorite beauty purchases! Did you manage to snap one of these little gems up? Tell me what you thought of it in the comments, and thank you so much for reading.
